Richard has been in formal education for almost 40 years. He has been a school principal of two
schools for more than half of them. In his retirement, Richard does leadership and management
workshops across Southern Africa. The topics deal with issues that are pertinent to many teachers
from Grade 1 through to Grade 12.

His SACE (South African Council of Educators)-endorsed workshops that earn Professional

​Advance your academic profile by joining a collaborative academic writing workshop.

Participate in a team-writing event with a select group of academics for a 2-week immersive exploration of professional development in community-higher education partnerships.

How it works

The project involves developing individual case studies in integrated service learning and professional development using the WHOLE model described at the bottom of this page. In week two we gather in groups of three or four, and co-author a comparative study of our selected cases. The target outcome is the submission of a paper to an open academic journal.
